About The Artist

Introduction: Kimberli Wilson Gray native of Denver Colorado. Currently residing ine Belton Texas, kicking off my second career as an aspiring artist. Traveling the world as a Department of Defense Civil Servant carried me on a visual journey which inspired me to create works of art I want to share. I am largely self taught in what I call living folk art.

My first love is to draw in pencil and I paint in watercolor pencil, acrylics on paper and canvas. I have made and sold jewelry, pillows and curtains. I am open to all media of art and can’t wait to put new tools in my tool box. I challenge myself to use recycled objects turning them into works of art. I make a big effort to only utilize recycled matting and framing when preparing art to be shared.

As a member of Bell Fine Arts and Portrait Society of America, I wish to continue to hone and develop my art . My desire is to use my skills in inspirational words, which I developed as the Director of Small Business. My goal is to use my skills to empower women in the advancement of their own artistic talents of drawing, painting, weaving, jewelry, and cooking. I want to encourage women into entrepreneurship through turning discarded items into cherishable treasures and financial gains.

Who we are

The Lighthouse on the Lake is a women’s empowerment movement with the intent and purpose to aid and grow women toward positive civic community participation and contributions here in Belton Texas and its neighboring cities.

We are currently located adjacent to Westcliff park training and working in a small studio

Mission:

The Lighthouse on the Lake, a multifaceted mission and initially our partners will create cherishable works of art using discarded materials and items. We will reuse, recycle and reduce the environmental footprint in our community and landfills.

Objective:

To empower women and their families to investing physical, mental and financial contribution to their individual households and communities. To establish financial and economic enfranchisement through the arts and hospitality industries by creating careers and not jobs, where earning caps are nonexistant regardless of any life experience. We plan to eliminate the dependency on public assistance.

Vision:

Our Vision is to turn the 6 acre parcel of land which sits adjacent to West cliff park into a small artisan community. As we continue our expansion we will have art booths and studios where we will produce and sell our items. We will have food trucks on the road to the lake where we will stock and sell healthy gourmet snacks to the guests of Westcliff Park.

We will further expand the arts offering to dance, photography, and eventually a farmers market.

Add a master studio which includes Kitchen Facility where we will train participants in culinary arts and the hospitality services. We want to provide our clients with a wonderful life exhilarating experiences.

We will eventually build 10 to 15 bed and breakfast cottages where we can train in the art of hospitality and tourism, offer retreats, conference facilities to share, train and grow.
